Lloyd's Math Tutoring

Build Skills - Build Confidence - Improve Results

My Bio

My name is Lloyd Bryan. I graduated from the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) – majored in Social Psychology, minored in Mathematics. Went through the Army ROTC program and spent over seven and a half years in the military.

After military service, I spent over twenty years in the IT realm (Help Desk – Systems Analyst – Configuration Management). For the past five years, I've worked in an Adult Education environment (Math Instructor) helping students to obtain their GED or advance to the Workforce program; and also as a math tutor for Middle School aged students.

I am a patient and supportive math tutor who helps Middle School students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and succeed in math. I understand that many students feel anxious or overwhelmed by the subject, so I create a calm, encouraging learning environment where every learner feels comfortable asking questions and taking risks.

I specialize in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and essential math readiness skills. I take time to understand each student's strengths, challenges, and learning style, then tailor lessons to meet their individual needs.

I believe every student can learn math. I focus on building true understanding rather than memorization. My goal is to help students develop long-term confidence, problem-solving skills, and a belief in their own abilities.

I teach by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and connecting new ideas to what students already know. Celebrating small wins, encourage curiosity, and help students see math as something they can master.
